{Feature Friday} Woodhall Manor

Yippee!! It’s Friday and the weekend is literally around the corner.

Many of you this weekend may be heading out to visit possible wedding venues. There are so many decisions – do you have a church or civil ceremony? A destination wedding? A barn wedding? A hotel? A country house… Ok, you get the idea.  The most important thing, we believe, is that the venue you choose should feel perfect for you both.  Visit it together, see what your options are and speak to the staff.  Trust me, you will know if its the right one.  It can be tempting to sign up for the first one you see because it appears to tick all of the boxes BUT try to avoid doing this.  Go for a drink, talk about it and sleep on it.  You will know if its ‘the one’.

With this in mind and it being SUCH an exciting, yet confusing time, we thought we would feature a venue that you may not have heard of.  Let me introduce you to Woodhall Manor.

TUCKED in a secluded corner of Suffolk in leafy grounds lies Woodhall Manor.
Surrounded by field and farmland, this beautiful 16th century property, with its ornate chimneys and ostentatious brickwork, has all the charm, elegance and originality couples could wish for from a wedding venue.

An authentic touch of the traditional Woodhall Manor is the venue of choice for couples wanting an air of theatre and glamour on their big day. Moulded ceilings, exquisite furnishings, and a real sense of privacy and warmth give the mansion a homely, comforting feel for winter weddings and more intimate gatherings.

Ceremony rooms include the wood-panelled Bishops Room (for a ceremony of up to 60 people), and the Nelson Room.

There is also a bar, well-equipped kitchen, and The Tapestry Room, which makes a delightful chill-out area.

Upstairs are 12 grand, individually designed bedrooms. Particularly impressive are the two honeymoon suites, including the stunning Queen Room with its silver four poster bed and lavish bath.

In a few weeks, we will be doing a bigger feature on choosing a wedding venue with top tips and showing off a handpicked selection, just for you. If you are looking for your venue this weekend, or have recently booked it, tell us all about it on here or on our Facebook page. Happy venue hunting.

Until next time xxx
