Monday Muse – Zoe Lem’s Vintage Wedding Fair

Firstly, apologies for the tardiness of this post but you will see why we’ve been a little lazy this morning! It’s Monday, which means we have some lovely wedding inspiration for you today!

Yesterday, Natalie & I, armed with my granny shopping trolley (much to Natalie’s amusement) headed off to the gorgeous Bloomsbury Ballroom for the vintage fair with true style! Zoe Lem’s fairs are always a treat – so well organised with so much wonderful wedding inspiration & pretty, it hurts your eyes. Brides & grooms to be were treated to a whole raft of fantastic suppliers, a cabaret show, fashion catwalks & talks from industry professionals such as Lipstick & Curls and Restoration Cake. There was even a topless waiter in the ballroom itself, promoting the fabulous Wam Bam Club.

We particularly enjoyed meeting many other wonderful wedding suppliers and were lucky enough to be positioned next to the lovely Mel Wilde who we had a great chat with throughout the day. Also nearby was the amazing Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium who had seriously incredible cakes with her & kindly shared them with us at the end of the day – always a bonus! Always lovely to put faces to names, we got to finally chat in real life to the wonderful Helen from Doily Days, the lovely Matt & Annabel from Vintage 78 DJ & the fab ladies from Maids to Measure! Looking forward to working with these great people in the future!

Our first fair together representing A Vintage Wedding Guide, we had a blast! The responses we received from brides & grooms was amazing and everyone commented on the gorgeous pieces we had taken with us from our wonderful suppliers. Elinor Rose stationery was a definite hit, with so much interest in her beautiful cameo designs. Kerrie Mitchell‘s wedding albums were regularly ooohed and aaahed over, as were the beautiful flowers from Red Magnolia, and Jessica Harrington’s save the date magnets were constantly remarked on!

After such a tiring day, Natalie & I jumped back on the tube to find the nearest place for a well deserved drink, with my shopping trolley re-packed full of our lovely things. I’m now lucky enough to have the gorgeous flowers cheering up my house (even though they sustained some superficial damage from someone squashing them on the tube!)

Here are a few snaps from the fun of the fair! Enjoy!
